On Friday, September 13 at 11:15 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Farrell Miller, dCC’s Director of Legal Affairs, will be sharing her expertise on the panel discussion Hemp Heats Up: Understanding the Next ‘Green Revolution’. Although the focus in the cannabis industry has largely been on the legalization of cannabis, there has been little narrative about the uses of hemp. This panel will discuss the limitless potential of hemp, from CBD extraction of flower to other creative uses of the different parts of this diverse plant.
“There’s an astounding potential for CBD hemp. Projections for world-wide growth of this new industry range from $2-billion to $22-billion by 2022. In order for Canada to continue as a world leader of a robust and scalable hemp industry, producers need more flexible and supportive regulations by Health Canada and/or Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada.” says Farrell Miller who will be elaborating on these possibilities during the panel discussion.
On Saturday, September 14 at 11:00 a.m. – 11:45 a.m., David Cohlmeyer, dCC’s acclaimed Business Plan and Farming Operations Specialist, will be presenting Techniques for Growing Cannabis/Hemp Out-doors. In this presentation, David Cohlmeyer will educate attendees about the benefits of outdoor growing techniques and outline how they can help to lower operational expenses and maximize profits. Join us to learn the best practices in soil health, optimal fertility, drainage, and irrigation as well as how they contribute to maintaining lucrative outdoor crops.
“With the continued development of cannabis businesses opening at an accelerated rate, proper guidance and education is critical for long term business success. Along with the increasing competition, operators need dependable ways to manage their compliance obligations, plus they need the expertise to increase efficiency and reduce risks. This presentation will leave attendees well equipped with the education and resources to set them up for success,” said David Cohlmeyer, Business Plan and Farming Operations Specialist for dCC.
