The Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) has recently announced that they will be doubling the number of retail store authorizations from 40 to 80, with an objective to reach 20 RSAs per week.
According to the AGCO, there have been over 1,300 RSA applications received to date, with 1,100 of these applications still to be processed.
Over the next two weeks, the AGCO will be contacting Retail Store Applicants directly to advise of new issuance dates of their RSAs.
The province has just under 300 authorized retail cannabis stores, behind BC’s 323 and Alberta’s 546.
